    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
    for Road Realignment for the Cape Race Access Road. The work
    will consist of, but is not limited to the following: supply of
    labour, materials, plant and equipment for realignment of
    approximately 679m of gravel access road to the Cape Race
    Lightstation from Portugal Cove South, NL. It will include
    clearing and grubbing the area of proposed road realignment,
    earthwork associated with construction of road realignment,
    supply and installation of culverts and works associated with
    abandoning existing road. Work will be carried out at the access
    road to the Cape Race Lightstation, location in Portugal Cove,
    NL.
    
    SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
    
    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit
    the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form,
    nature, and extent of the work, materials necessary for the
    completion of the work, the means of access to the site,
    severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions,
    any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain
    all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other
    circumstances which may influence or affect their bid.  No
    allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on
    account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine
    the conditions that will apply.
    
    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review
    specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements
    - before visiting the site.  Take all appropriate safety
    measures for any visit to site, either before or after
    acceptance of bid.  Obtain prior permission from the
    Departmental Representative before carrying out such site
    inspection.
    
    
    Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION
    SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2015-02-25) for the
    Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
