    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for elevator replacement. The Work  described  herein  includes  for  all  labour and  material,  including  overtime  required  to  meet the  project  schedule,  to  convert  one (1)  hydraulic elevator  designated  on   site  as  Provincial  number 1451,  Passenger  Elevator,  located  at  Correctional Services Canada (CSC), 531  Charter Avenue,  St.  John’s, NL,  to  traction  MRL. Provide all work required for a completed projected, as detailed in the specification.
    
    Only bids from contractors whose name is on the List of Pre-Qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the following categories of equipment:  Electric Elevators, for the province
    of Newfoundland and Labrador will be considered for this solicitation.
    
    
    Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2016-04-04) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
    
    SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
    
    1.  There will be a scheduled site visit, please refer to the solicitation document for the date and time. It is recommended that bidders visit the site andits surroundings and verify the
    form, nature and extent of the work, the means to access the site, and in general obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances prior to submitting
    bid.
    
    2.  Bidders must refer toSection 01 35 30 - Health and Safety Requirements of specification before performing any site inspection or preliminary work at site.
    
    3. As per section 01 04 00, item 1.1 - Related Requirements, Bidders shall be elevator contractors in possession of a current elevator contractor installation licence which is in compliance to the latest addition of the Amusement Rides and Elevating Devices Act for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Elevator contractor’s workforce must be in compliance with Section 14 12 60, Item 1.8 of the specification documents.
