THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for Atrium Glazing Replacement at the RCMP “B” Division Headquarters building in St. John’s, NL.

The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the removal and replacement of existing skylight glazing and identified accessories and work to interior as indicated. Site of Work is at the RCMP 'B' Division Headquarters, 100 E White Hills Road, St. John's, NL AlA 3TS. 

Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2017-04-27) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
 
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. There will be a site visit on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. On the day of the site visit all interested parties should meet at the main entrance of the RCMP Building “B” Division Headquarters, 100 E White Hills Road, St. John's, NL AlA 3TS. You will need to bring photo identification such as drivers licence or passport and will be escorted during site visit.

 
Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Note that all personnel that will access work site will require security clearance as noted in the specifications section 01 35 54.



FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid or costs to do the work. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.  

Also the means to access and the temporary facilities required to perform the work.

Obtain prior permission from the Departmental Representative before carrying out such site inspection.
