The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the Marina Development in Port Blandford, NL . In general, the work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: .1 Demolition of the existing wharf infrastructure. .2 Construction of a new Rock-Filled Breakwater, Rubble Mound Breakwater, Launchway, Four (4) Floating Docks c/w Gangways & Headblocks, Dredging of the Basin to a depth of -1.65m as indicated on the drawings. Note that dredging spoils will require special disposal as per GD-PPD-045.2, project specifications and accompanying PED document. .3 Installation of five (5) Existing Floating Docks, including New Gangways, Headblocks, and all required hardware .4 Uplands Remediation, Grading for positive drainage, and Barrier Stone placement as noted on the drawings. Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2018-06-21) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement. LISTING OF SUBCONTRACTORS Take note that R2710T, GI07 Listing of Subcontractors and Suppliers has been amended. See SI09 of the Special Instructions FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 28 -Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
