Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: F6140-210560/A Walsh, Heather Telephone No. - (709) 631-1853 Fax No. - (709) 772-4603 Heather.Walsh@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca Wharf Reconstruction, Fortune, NL Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans Small Craft Harbour (DFO-SCH), has a requirement that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for Wharf Reconstruction, in Fortune, NL. To minimize disruption to the existing operation at this facility, the demolition and new work shall be divided into multiple work phases. Note that the Contractor must incorporate COVID-19 standardized protocols in their site specific Health and Safety Plan. The declared value of the material supplied by Canada for this project is $40,000.00 (HST extra). This amount shall be added to the contract value when determining the amount of insurance required under the Builder's Risk / Installation Floater coverage. In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1.Demolition of existing wharf, retaining wall, asphalt and electrical shed. 2.Construction of a new timber piled marginal and finger pier wharf, complete with reinforced concrete pile caps, concrete buttresses, concrete retaining wall, timber bracing, fendering, ladders, wheelguard, and a reinforced concrete deck. 3.Supply and installation of new electrical shed complete with crib foundation. 4.Electrical work including, but not limited to, pedestals, light poles, conduit, wiring and service panels for a complete installation. Coordinate all work with the utility and pay for all contribution in aid of construction costs. FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Before submitting a bid, it is recommended the bidders visit the site and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed and the means of access to the site. Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site should refer to Section 01 10 10, Item 1.5 Familiarization with Site of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site. Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. Bidders must refer to General Instructions R2710T (2021-04-01) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
