Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Electrical Upgrade, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Benton Substation, Benton, New Brunswick EC373-212009/A Johnston (PWJ), Edward Telephone No. - (506) 343-6382 Fax No. - (506) 851-6759 Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and materials to upgrade the electrical. In general the scope of the work includes the supply and install a new diesel generator, replacement of the existing service entrance feeders, supply and install new grounding grid and ground wires, construction of a new electrical room, replace all electrical distribution panels, supply and install new feeders to branch circuit panelboards and supply and install a generator load bank connection. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.106097.002 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by March 05, 2021. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be two optional site visits on January 05, 2021 and January 06, 2021. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Contractors interested in participating in the site visit are required to register with the Contracting Authority in advance by e-mail at edward.johnston@pwgsc.gc.ca by no later than 3:00 pm on January 04, 2021. The Contracting Authority will assign a specific time slot. The contractors representative must not have travelled internationally in the past 14 days, must not have symptoms of COVID-19, and must respect physical distancing measures while on site. The Departmental Representative will show the site to one contractor representative at a time (one-on-one). All bidder questions will be submitted to the Contracting Authority and answered by solicitation amendment/addendum following the site visit. Bidders are to meet at the AAFC Benton Substation, 539 Benton Road, Benton, New Brunswick, 10 minutes prior to their specific time slot. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: greater than $100,001 - $500,000 (HST excluded). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required. A bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 4479, 4th floor, 1045 Main Street, MONCTON, N.B. All public tender openings are suspended until further notice. Bid results will be recorded on the bid results line; the phone number is indicated in the Invitation to Tender. Bidders can continue to hand-deliver their tenders, however, please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates and bid delivery locations may be necessary.
