Trent-Severn Waterway. Reconstruction of dam at lock 37. The dam is located on the Talbot River, approximately 4 km west of the community of Bolsover, Ontario. Project No: R.058203.001 Requirement Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for a qualified contractor to Reconstruct the Dam at lock 37, Trent-Severn Waterway. The objective of this Invitation To Tender is to retain an individual Contractor to provide the complete construction work for the reconstruction of the 67 meters long concrete dam structure. Work includes the supply of labour, material, supervision, equipment and engineering support for the reconstruction of the 67 meters long concrete dam structure including, but not limited to the following: 1: Arrangement for the use of adjacent or near by property(ies) for the contractor's staging area/construction campsite and sediment and environmental quality control. 2: Design, construction, maintenance and monitoring of temporary works associated with the replacement of the dam (dewatering works, dewatering activities and maintenance, water diversion and diversion system operations, excavation shoring, stability of existing lock and lock entrance wall, traffic control, sediment and erosion control etc..), 3: Demolition of existing concrete structure and related works. 4: Reconstruction of the concrete structure and related works and 5: Deconstruction of temporary works and site restoration including landscaping. This is a single phase selection process. This procurement contains mandatory requirements; failure to comply will result in rejection of the bid. Within the Invitation To Tender , the Crown sets out the project requirements, i.e., the particulars of the project itself and the broad scope of services required from the contractor. Delivery Date: The work must be completed by November 30, 2014. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: Greater than $5,000,000.00 MANDATORY SITE VISIT There will be a Mandatory site visit on December 18, 2012 at 10:00 A.M., at the site. Interested bidders are to meet at the Lock Station for Lock 37 (Bolsver Lock), located at B92 Talbot Drive Bolsover. Talbot Drive ia accessible from County Road 48 and Simcoe Street, just west of the village of Bolsover Ontario. Safety boots are required and cameras will be allowed at the site visit. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
