    Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of the Canadian Coast Guard, has a requirement for navigational dredging of the St. Mary’s River near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. 
    
    Scope of Work:  
    
    The scope of work includes the maintenance dredging to re-establish navigational water depths of the St. Mary’s River, and disposal of the dredged material. The sites of the dredging work are Brush Point Course, Point Louise Turn, Point Louise Channel, Vidal Shoal Channel, Canadian Channel, and Canadian Channel West Entrance. The site of the disposal area is at the Algoma Steel slip site in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. 
    
    Work comprises of dredging and disposal of the following approximate quantities:
    Scenario A (Brush Point Course and Point Louise Turn) 16,500 cubic metres place measurement.
    Scenario B (Brush Point Course, Point Louise Turn and Point Louise Channel) 20,000 cubic metres place measurement.
    Scenario C (Brush Point Course, Point Louise Turn and Point Louise Channel, Vidal Shoal Channel, Canadian Channel, and Canadian Channel West Entrance) 22,000 cubic metres place measurement.
    
    The contractor shall perform and complete the Work within 7 (seven) weeks 
    from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. (between July 27, 2020 and September 15, 2020). 
    
    REGISTRY AND PRE-QUALIFICATIONS OF FLOATING PLANT IS APPLICABLE
    Dredges or other floating plant to be used in the performance of the Work must be on Canadian or European Union member state registry, having in the latter case been granted a temporary license under the Coasting Trade Act. For dredges or other floating plant that are not of Canadian or European Union member state make or manufacture, the Bidder must obtain a certificate of qualification from Industry Canada as described in the Floating Plant Appendix of the Bid and Acceptance Form, and this certificate must accompany the bid. Plant so qualified by Industry Canada may be accepted on this project.

    Bidders must meet all the mandatory requirements specified in the tender document.  Failure to comply with any or all the mandatory requirements will render the bid non-compliant and no other consideration will be given to the bid.
