    Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception
    of tenders previously due
    Thursday, October 1, 2015 is extended to Tuesday, October 6,
    2015 at 2pm.
    
    Chamber and Approach Wall Replacement
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada, Real Property
    Branch, on behalf of Parks Canada have a requirement at Locks
    16-17 Healey Falls, Trent Hills, Ontario.
    
    The Healey Falls Locks 16-17 project is part of the Trent-Severn
    Waterway (TSW) located approximately 11 km north of
    Campbellford, Ontario on the Trent River, in Northumberland
    County, in the municipality of Trent Hills, Ontario.
    
    The Healey Falls Lock 16-17 project consists removing and
    replacing built concrete works at the Healey Falls Lock 16 & 17
    downstream approach wall and the East and West chamber walls of
    lock 17.
    
    The Contractor is allowed to demolish one chamber wall of Lock
    17 at the time.  Demolition of second wall can start only, after
    the first wall is fully reconstructed and the Contractor can
    demonstrate to the Departmental Representative that it is
    feasible to demolish and reconstruct the second wall before
    navigation starts.
    
    The scope of the works listed in the specifications will require
    the contractor to provide all services to complete the
    construction and ensure the navigational season is operational.
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by the 6th
    May 2017 with the following project constraints:
    
    a)  Work shall not interfere with public use and operation of
    the canal at Lock 16-17 of the Trent Severn Waterway in Healey
    Falls, Ontario during navigation season of 2015  (May 15, 2015
    to October 12, 2015), 2016  (May 15, 2016 to October 12, 2016).
    b)  The Trent-Severn Waterway at Locks 16-17 must remain
    navigable during the navigation season and no works shall
    interfere with public use and operation of the canal.  No on
    site works are permitted on site during the navigational season.
    c)  Contract is anticipated to be awarded within 30 days of
    tender closing.
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT
    There will be a site visit on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at
    1:00 p.m. (13:00 hrs.).   Interested bidders are to meet at
    Healey Falls Lock 16-17, 222 Canal Rd., Trent Hills, ON. 
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit.  Bids submitted by
    Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
    accepted.
    
    Bidders who intend to visit this location must communicate with

    the scheduled site visit.
