Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Project No. WYE 3929 Title: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre - Watermain Replacement & Parking Lot Resurfacing THERE IS NO SECURITY REQUIREMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS REQUIREMENT. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Real Property Branch,on behalf of Environment Canada have a requirement for a watermain replacement and parking lot resurfacing located at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre 16160 Highway 12 East, Midland, Ontario L4R 4K6.All work shall be in accordance with Project No.WYE- 3929 Specification and Drawings. SCOPE OF WORK Work of this Contract comprises of all necessary labor, materials, and equipment, required to complete the watermain replacement and parking lot resurfacing,this includes,but is not limited to: • Watermain replacement: erosion and sediment control measures, decommissioning of existing watermain, installation of new watermain and all fixtures and fittings, commissioning of new watermain including pressure testing and chlorination; • Parking lot resurfacing: erosion and sediment control measures, remove existing asphalt and Granular A material and replace with new asphalt and Granular A. CONSTRUCTION TIME The contractor shall perform and complete the Work within 21 weeks form the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT 1. There will be a site visit on October 1, 2020 at 11:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre 16160 Highway 12 Midland, Ontario L4R 4K6 The representative of the bidder will be required to announce who is in attendance so that the Site Visit Attendance Sheet can be completed by the Departmental Representative. 2. Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit, all persons are required to wear proper personal protection equipment, safety boots, hard hats and non-medical face mask/face covering, as well as a minimum reflective vest. 3. NOTE: As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the following precautions are mandatory during the site visit: •social distancing, maintaining a minimum of 2 meters between individuals; •bidders are limited to one representative only to reduce the size of the gathering; •avoid social greetings (i.e. handshakes); •wear a mask at all times while outside of vehicle; and •Self- screening assessment questions: -Do you have a cough, fever, sore throat, difficulty breathing, or any other new or worsening symptoms? -Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days? -Have you had close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has travelled anywhere outside of Canada within the last 14 days before their illness? -Have you been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days? Do not attend the site visit if you answered yes to any of the questions,and contact your health care provider for advice. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than five (5) days prior to the scheduled site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. PROJECT VALUE: The estimated cost for this project is $100,000.00 to $500,000.00 (HST extra). Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
