Notice of Proposed Procurement
Project Title: Smith Falls, ON- Rehabilitation of Poonamalie Dam

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Scope of work: The work under this contract covers the
furnishing of all labour, material, tools, equipment, plant, and
supervision required to rehabilitate the earth dam and waste
weir for the Poonamalie Earth Dam; this work will require
dewatering.  The Poonamalie Earth Dam is located at the outlet
of Big/Lower Rideau Lake and is the starting point for the
Rideau River as it flows northeast to Ottawa. The site is about
3 km south of Smith Falls Ontario with access off Highway 15.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT
There will be a site visit on October 28, 2014 at 1:00pm.
Interested bidders are to meet at the
Poonamalie Lock 32 at the Poonamalie Dam in Smith Falls, ON. The
site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of
the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance
Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not
signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
