Trade Agreement: Set-Aside Program for Aboriginal Business (SPAB) Tendering Procedures: Qualified Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Oil Pit Remediation- Wasauksing First Nation EQ447-200852/A Dhillon, Ambreen Telephone No. - (416) 318-9360( ) Fax No. - (416) 952-1257 ( ) SET-ASIDE UNDER THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT STRATEGY FOR ABORIGINAL BUSINESS This procurement is set aside under the federal government Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business. For more information on Aboriginal business requirements of the Set-aside Program for Aboriginal Business see Annex 9.4 of the Supply Manual. This procurement is set aside from the international trade agreements under the provision each has for measures with respect to Aboriginal peoples or for set-asides for small and minority businesses. Work of this Contract comprises remediation of four waste oil pits and completion of the site works associated with soil remediation at the Wasauksing First Nation, Parry Sound, Ontario. The work includes but is not limited to, the following: site preparation and clearing; disposal of miscellaneous waste debris; management, removal and/or redirection of existing buried utilities; excavation and off-site disposal of non-hazardous contaminated soil; management and treatment of water; decommissioning monitoring wells; backfilling excavation area with clean fill and site restoration. Contaminated soil will need to be excavated and disposed of off-property in appropriate waste facilities. Areas of excavation will need to be backfilled and restored. MANDATORY SITE VISIT There will be a mandatory site visit scheduled for Thursday August 1st, 2019 at 10:00am. Interested bidders are to meet at 1508 Geewadin Road, Lane G, Parry Sound, ON P2A 2X4. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the Bidder must sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected. Mandatory health and safety protection to be worn by visitors to the site visit include: steel-toe boots, a hardhat, safety glasses, pants, and a high-visibility vest.
