    Scope of Work
    This project entails the decommissioning of the Correctional
    Services Canada Pittsburgh Institution Feedlot Lagoon.  The
    lagoon was formally used to store cattle waste. Project entails
    the installation of environmental control and site measures. the
    removal, transport and disposal of liquid waste, sludge and
    organic solid waste at an approved composting facility.  Work
    also includes site grading, placement of topsoil and seed, fence
    installation and other site work.
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT:
    The site visit for this project is Mandatory.  Arrangements have
    been made for a tour of the work site.  The site visit will be
    held on the 8th of May 2013 at 2:00 pm.  Bidders are to meet at
    the Pittsburgh Institution Front Entrance Security Building CSC
    Pittsburgh Institution, Box 880 Highway 15, Kingston ON, K7L
    4X9.  Pittsburgh Institution is approximately 12 km north of
    Highway 401 on Highway 15.
    Bidders must register with the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell
    at 416-590-8270 or  e-mail bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca before 10:00
    AM on 06th of May 2013 to confirm attendance and provide
    names(s) and the number of people who will attend.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the visit.
    Bidders who do not attend or send representative will not be
    given an alternative appointment. Any clarifications or changes
    to the bid solicitation resulting in the site visit will be
    included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Contractors
    must bring picture identification.  No pictures will be allowed
    and no cell phones can be brought into the institution. 
    Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance
    sheet will not be accepted.
    Please note: The site visit will serve as an opportunity to walk
    around the site and view the areas(s) where work is to be
    completed.  Enquiries of a technical or contractual nature will
    not be answered during the site visit.
    
    The duration of work is schedule to be completed seven (7 )
    weeks from date of award.
    
    Closing date:  23 May 2013, at 14:00 HOURS.  
    
    Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
    downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
    paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
    contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
    consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
    directory structure.
