    SCOPE OF WORK
    This project is comprised of general removal and disposal of
    identified (See Surface Waste Inventory Table in Specification
    Package) and unidentified waste, located at the proposed new
    Windsor Detroit River International Crossing (DRIC) Plaza Site,
    bounded to the north by Chappus Street, to south by Broadway
    Blvd, to the east by the Essex Terminal railway and to the west
    by Water Street; and further identified as R.057260.004. See
    Specification Package - Appendix A, Figures 1 to 4 for site
    boundaries and No Go Zones. This site has been mostly unoccupied
    and a substantial amount of solid waste has accumulated at
    various areas on-site. Waste consists of non-hazardous and
    hazardous waste and Asbestos containing waste. No subsurface
    waste is to be removed. Only waste that is accessible at surface
    and does not require excavation to access, shall be removed for
    waste disposal. Work at the site will involve working in
    environmentally sensitive areas. See Specification Package - 
    Appendix A, Figure 4 - Environmentally Sensitive Areas. A
    biologist will be present onsite to pre-screen the
    Environmentally Sensitive Areas for Species at Risk. Work in the
    Environmentally Sensitive Areas must be approved by the
    biologist prior to working in the area.
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT:
    There will be a Mandatory site visit on  10 June 2014 at
    9:00A.M. at the Commissionaires Check Point as outlined on
    Figure 2 of the Specifications, located at the intersection of
    Broadway Blvd and Sandwich St, Windsor, ON
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
    Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
    accepted.
    
    It is mandatory that the bidder attend the mandatory site visit
    at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work
    required and the existing conditions. Bidders are requested to
    register with the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at
    bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca or 416-590-8270, to confirm their
    attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
    attend, 24 hours prior to the site visit.
    
    Closing date: 17 June  2014 14:00 HOURS.  
    
    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting
    from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
    solicitation.
    
    The duration of work is schedule to be completed within 8 weeks
    from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    Bidders should provide, with their bid or promptly thereafter, a
    complete list of names of all individuals who are currently
    directors of the Bidder.  If such a list has not been received
    by the time the evaluation of bids is completed, Canada will
    inform the Bidder of a time frame within which to provide the
    information.  Failure to provide such a list within the required
    time frame will render the bid non-responsive.  Bidders must
    always submit the list of directors before contract award.

    BIDDER'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS. (SEE APPENDIX  2 OF THE "ITT"
    DOCUMENT)
    
     Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in
    a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version.
    Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the
    Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF
    files organized in an industry recognized directory structure.
