    Scope of Work
    The Walpole Island Swing Bridge is located west of Wallaceburg, Ontario, on the eastern boundary of the Walpole First Nation and provides the only land based access to Walpole Island.  The bridge was constructed in 1968 and carries two lanes of traffic and two sidewalks over the Chenal Ecarte (Snye) River, a navigable waterway linking Lake Huron to Lake St. Clair.  The bridge has an overall width of 11.9 m and an overall length of 156.1 m.  The bridge has a 66.4 m swing span and four fixed approach spans.
    
    Work under this Contract includes immediate repairs required to promote the continued safe use of the bridge. Structural work primarily includes supply and installation of steel jackets for bearing pedestals.  Road work primarily includes asphalt ramping of the existing sidewalks at the transitions to the bridge, removal of existing steel beam guiderail, and installation of new steel beam guiderail.  Minor electrical and mechanical work is also required as part of this Contract
    
    SITE VISIT
    There will be no site visit for this requirement.
    
    The duration of work is 6 (six) weeks from issuance of Award Letter.

If such a listhasnot been receivedby the time the evaluation of bids is completed,Canada will inform the Bidder of a time frame within which to providethe information.  Failure to provide such a list within the required time frame will render the bid non-responsive. Bidders must alwayssubmit the list of directors before contract award. Canada may, at any time,request that a Bidder provide properly completed and Signed Consent Forms (Consent to a Criminal Record Verification form - PWGSC-TPSGC 229) for any or all individuals named inthe aforementioned list within a specified delay. Failure to provide such Consent Forms within the delay will result in the bid being declared non-responsive.
