Project Scope of Work:  The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the south breakwater structures at the Port Elgin Harbour. The facility is located on the East Shore of Lake Huron, in the Town of Saugeen Shores, approximately 50 kilometers west of Owen Sound. 

The work involves encapsulating the existing timber crib wharves with new steel sheet piling.
Other associated work to include the installation of tieback anchors, removal and reinstatement of armour stone, and the installation of new concrete walkways and anchor walls.

The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 32 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. All in water work including installation of steel sheet piling and armour stone must be completed by March 15, 2020. 
Completion of all work on both structures by May 15, 2020.


PROJECT VALUE:

The estimated cost for this project is between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000 HST extra.    

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT  

There will be a site visit on October 07, 2019 at 1:00PM. Interested bidders are to meet at outside the harbour building at 110 Elgin Street, Port Elgin, ON N0H 2C0. Bidders should register with the Contracting Officer, Zobia Essa at zobia.essa@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend by 1:00PM, October 04, 2019.

The representative of the Bidder should sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit.  

Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
