    NATURE OF REQUIREMENT:
    
    Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Real Property Contracting, on behalf of Parks Canada has a requirement for the replacement of Bridge 56 with associated road rehabilitation at Trent-Severn Waterways Lock 42 Couchiching, located at Washago, Ontario. All work shall be done in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. Project No. R.100303.019
    
    SCOPE OF WORK:
    
    The work under this contract covers the furnishing of all labour, material, tools, equipment, plant, and supervision required for the replacement of Bridge 56 with associated road rehabilitation at Trent-Severn Waterways Lock 42 Couchiching, located at Washago, Ontario. Please note the following:  
    1. The work must be done as indicated in the Contract Documents while maintaining navigation traffic at all times during construction at Bridge 56;
    2. The contractor must keep the main channel (between east abutment and west abutment) open for navigation traffic at all times throughout the construction period, including the navigation period between May to October;  
    3. In-water work must not occur between March 15, 2020 and May 31, 2020;
    4. The contractor must re-open the road to vehicular traffic by May 5, 2020.  
    
    PROJECT VALUE: 
    
    The estimated cost for this project is between $1,000,001 - $5,000,000 HST extra.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
    
    There will be an optional site visit on Tuesday October 15th at 11:00 am. interested bidders are to meet at the site’s parking lot near Lock 42 Couchiching located at 2597 Bonsor Road, Washago, Ontario. It is advised that, interested bidders wear visible vests, when on or near the roadway and when on the bridge. GPS Coordinates: 44°46'11"N 79°21'01"W.
    
    The site visit for this project is optional. Bidders are requested to register with the Contracting Authority Dave Musonge by email, dave.musonge@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca.  Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid.
