Trade Agreement: LCSA/AIT Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Bar U Ranch Rehabilitation EP922-171040/A Anthony, Mary Telephone No. - (780) 237-7582 mary.anthony@pwgsc.gc.ca Description: Work contained within the contract will involve the rehabilitation of three historic structures at the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site near Longview Alberta. The structures to be rehabilitated include: the Implement Shed (Building 18), the Slaughterhouse (Building 27) and the Stud Horse Barn North Wall (Building 1). The work will generally involve the following: 1) Implement Shed (Building 18): bracing, lifting and moving of the building, excavation, construction of a new concrete and screw pile foundation system which will include the placements of existing stone in its original location, reinforcement ofexisting wood structures, splicing in and replacement of wood boards and battens, replacement of cedar shingle roofs, the refinishing/ application of linseed oil paints to exterior surfaces, minor grading and landscaping work. 2) Slaughterhouse (Building 27): replacement of windows, removal of existing wood plank floors, bracing, lifting and moving of the building, construction of a new concrete and screw pile foundation system which will include the relative placements of existing stone, bracing and reinforcement of existing light frame wood structure, splicing in and replacement of wood boards and battens, wood window replacement and restoration, and the refinishing/ application of linseed oil paints to exterior surfaces. 3) Stud Horse Barn North Wall (Building 1): careful documentation of existing positioning of siding, splicing in and replacement of wood siding, and rotted wood studs, and the refinishing/ application of linseed oil paints to exterior surfaces. Integrity Provisions: Changes have been made to the Integrity Provisions - Bid as of 2016-04-04. See GI01, Integrity Provision-Bid of R2710T of the General Instructions for more information Listing of Contractors: As per GI07 of R2710T you should provide using Annex C at Bid closing a list of Subcontractors that have 20% or more of the tendered price value. Optional Site Visit: There will be a site visit on August 31, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interested bidders are to meet at: Bar U Ranch National Historic Site, locatedapproximately 95 km (59 miles) south of Calgary on Highway 22, 13 km (8 miles) south of Longview. From Calgary, go south on Highway 2, then west on Highway 540, cross over Highway 22 (also known as The Cowboy Trail) and continue west for approximately halfa kilometer Trade Agreement(s): The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
