Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Correctional Services Canada Drumheller Institution Roof Replacement, Drumheller, Alberta EP922-190896/A Tikhonovitch (RPC), Alex Telephone No. - (780) 901-7940 Fax No. - (780) 497-3510 Email: alex.tikhonovitch@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca The construction tender work is to be completed at the CSC Drumheller Institution in Drumheller Alberta and is to: replace the flat built up roof systems on Building B-2 and B-19 down to the existing roof deck and to install a new roof membrane, vapour barrier retarder, 100mm roofmate insulation, 7.0 mm factory-laminated on asphaltic board and 2 ply SBS. The roof systems are to have all existing drains retrofit and the new roofing system sloped so no standing water will be left on the roof. All new metal flashings, to match existing, are to be supplied and installed by the Roofing Contractor. The building B-19 roof is to be replaced first as it is the priority building with the most leaks. The Contractor is also responsible for the removal and reinstallation of the radio antenna systems and security camera systems for each building via the Client approved companies listed in specification section 01 11 00, as well as the removal/replacement and/or reinstallation of all required HVAC, drains, vents, etc. as per the tender documents. The Roofing Contractor will also be responsible for procuring and having a Third Party Inspector from the Alberta Roofing Contractor Association attend all key date/progress meetings/project walks and to have the ARCA Representative complete reports for each walk with recommendations for any suggestions, changes and/or corrections to be made prior to moving forward. The GC is to Commission and water test all roofing systems that have been emoved/replaced/reinstalled to ensure all systems are working as per manufacturers specs and no leaks are present prior to leaving the site. The Contractor will be working at a Correctional Facility where their work must be coordinated with the CSC Institution (via the PSPC Departmental Representative) to ensure as few interruptions to daily routine as possible. Work days will be from 07:30 until 16:00 from Monday to Friday unless other times are agreed to by the Client. The Contractor will be responsible to maintain safety and security of the work site, the construction lay-down area and their delivered product, for the duration of the Contractors work at the site. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 and $1,000,000. NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. There will be a site visit on September 10th, 2018 at 10 AM. Interested bidders are to meet at: Drumheller Institution, Highway 9 South, Drumheller, AB. The walk will start in the parking lot of the CSC Drumheller Institution, outside of Building A-01. All visitors must have PPE shoes and vests.
