CFIA has identifying several deficiencies associated with the existing incinerator at their Lethbridge Laboratory. The incinerator is a Voltec Industries, Vertec model #1000 TLM. This unit is original to the building and has a throughput capacity of 400kg/hr. It is a single pass incinerator and is located over two different operating levels in the building. The unit has 4 fuel master burners ranging in output. Two high output burners are located in the lower chamber while two slightly smaller burners are located in the upper chamber. This incinerator has a 25 m stack. Upgrades are required to bring the incinerator to current legislative requirements and operating technologies. NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be a site visit on July 20, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Lethbridge Laboratory, Township Road 9-1, Lethbridge, Alberta. To ensure a fair bidding process, no questions will be answered at the site visit. Please submit all questions via email to alex.tikhonovitch@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca. Questions and answers will be posted on buy and sell website.
