AAFC Waste Water Pumping Station - Beaverlodge, AB

    REQUIREMENT:
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), is seeking tenders for the provision of all materials, equipment, labour and supervision for the replacement of the inoperable waste water pumping station at AAFC’s Beaverlodge Farm in Beaverlodge, AB as detailed in the specifications, drawings and Invitation to Tender Document.

The AAFC Beaverlodge site is served by a local gravity sewer system that is collected adjacent to Building 15. The current lift station has been inoperable for several years. At present the AAFC site is served by an overflow which directs wastewater to an existing on site lagoon. In this project the existing gravity connection between Manhole 11 and the lift station is to be temporally blocked and waste water continue flow to the lagoon. The existing lift station will be removed and all components disposed of at a landfill or other approved receptors for recyclable materials. The existing 50mm discharge pipe from the lift station to the outlet manhole on the west side of the site has been cleaned and tested, and will remain in permanent service after reconnection to the new lift station. Pressure & Flow testing of the existing force main has already been completed and it has been confirmed acceptable for continued use. The new lift station is to be installed in the same location as the existing, following the project plans and specifications. It will be re-connected to the existing gravity receiving line from Manhole 11 and the existing HDPE discharge pipe. New electrical service is required to serve the lift station. The new lift station is to be fully commissioned and accepted then the temporary connection to the new lift station to Manhole 11 is to be removed. The overflow from Manhole 11 to the onsite lagoon is to remain after the commissioning of the new lift station as a permanent standby system.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in the Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version.
