Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Correctional Services Canada  is seeking tenders for the provision of all labour, material, and equipment as necessary for the installation of a Air Handling Unit (AHU) at the Grierson Institution in Edmonton, AB. Grierson Institution is a Minimum Security Institution for Federally sentenced people. Grierson Institution is located at 9530 - 101 Avenue in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. 

The existing 15 ton air handling unit (AHU) serving Building 1 at Grierson Institution was installed in 1980 is at the end of its service life. Due to unacceptable amount of repairs and obsolescence, the AHU is to be replaced. The institution is a recognized "Federal Heritage Building" because of it's historical associations, as such potential contractors will be required to take all necessary precautions to avoid any damage to the building. 

Construction will be performed during full operation of the facilities, as a result project phasing must be planned to ensure that disruption to the daily operation of the facilities is kept to a minimum. Due to these constraints it is strongly recommended that potential bidders attend the optional site visit.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in the Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the Drawings and Specifications Packages (DSP) which consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure


NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

1. There will be a site visit on September 27, 2018 at 1:30 PM. Interested bidders are to meet at Grierson Institution. Located at 9530 - 101 Avenue T5H 0B3 in the city of Edmonton, Alberta.

2. Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.


Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $0 <  $ 100,000
