    Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of Correctional Services Canada (CSC) is seeking tenders for the provision of all materials, equipment, labour and supervision to for the construction of four exercise yards outside of Unit 6 at the Edmonton Institution. Construction includes the installation of a weeping tile, site grading, installation of concrete slabs, addition of structural steel, and associated electronic works including cameras, lighting, and door strikes.
    
    The Edmonton Maximum Security Institution (EMSI) is a maximum-security facility located on Manning Freeway between Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan. The facility is divided into two security zones, maximum-security and segregated maximum-security. The bulk of the work for this project will be taking place outside of the segregation unit.
    
    Construction will be performed during full operation of the facilities, as a result project phasing
    must be planned to ensure that disruption to the daily operation of the facilities is kept to a
    minimum. Due to these constraints it is strongly recommended that potential bidders attend the
    optional site visit.
    
    Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in the Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the Drawings and Specifications Packages (DSP) which consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure
    
    NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    There will be a site visit on May 25, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance at the Edmonton Maximum Security Institution (EMSI) 
    
    Covid Instructions:
    A Site tour starting at the EMSI can be arranged but Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to at all times. This includes;
    
    1.         Covid-19 questionnaire 
    2.         Mask wearing at all times.
     
    Please bring valid Government Identification for verification. Each company will be limited to two attendees for the site visit, depending on the number of registered attendees there may be multiple walkthroughs of the site to limit potential Covid Exposure and to allow for safe social distancing. To ensure a fair bidding process, no questions will be answered at the site visit. Please submit all questions via email to Hector.Ho@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca . Questions and answers will be posted on buy and sell website.
     
    Everyone wishing to attend must submit name(s) to Hector.Ho@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca at least 3 calendar days prior. If requests submitted is less than 3 calendar days, bidders risk not being granted access for the site visit.
