    Bidder Qualifications:
    
    The bid shall be submitted following a "two-envelope" procedure
    in which the Bidder submits
    the Qualifications Form in one envelope and the Bid and
    Acceptance Form in a second
    envelope. Both envelopes shall be enclosed and sealed together
    in the bid envelope. All
    envelopes are to be provided by the Bidder.
    
    All bidders must submit the following documents as part of the
    tender submission. The Departmental Representative reserves the
    right to reject bids that do not include all of the documents
    listed below:
    
    .1 	Letter stating that the bidder is a masonry contractor
    having at least 5 years of experience 		working with Heritage
    Restoration projects supported by three references.  References
    must 		include clients or consultants of past projects.
    
    .2 	Resume's of key employees, including the project manager,
    site superintendent, foreman, 		lead-hand journeymen, and all
    masons, demonstrating at least 5 years of experience working
    with 	Heritage Restoration projects.
    
    Work Description: 
    1.	Work under this Contract covers Stone masonry Repairs at
    Sinclair Centre, Federal, Building, 757 	Hastings Street,
    Vancouver, B.C.
    
    .2	Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not
    limited to, the following 			items covered further in the
    Contract documents:
    	1.  Design, supply, maintain and erect construction scaffolding
    as specified Section 
    	01 52 00 "Construction Facilities".
    	2.  Design, supply, erect, maintain and move swing stage
    equipment and provide two 			operators, to allow for visual
    survey of the work along the north facade by Departmental
    			Representative.  Perform work as specified Section 01 52 00 "
    Construction Facilities".
    	3.  Construction hoarding, temporary enclosures, dust screens
    and barriers to enclose all 			areas of work and to protect the
    public.
    	4.  Remove existing stone masonry and replace with new natural
    stone at locations 			identified on drawings.
    	5.  Install new stainless steel angles in areas where the stone
    units above the shelf angle is 		being replaced.
    	6.  Install new structural pins at existing stone masonry in
    designated locations.
    	7.  Remove and reinstate existing mortar joints in areas of
    stone replacement.
    	8.  Remove existing sealant joint between the walkway and the
    East Facade and replace 			with a new pre formed, pre-compressed
    sealant system.
    	9.  Provide submittals according to this section, and as
    requested in each specification 			section.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The work is to be completed within eight (8) weeks after
    contract award.

    Value of Project: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
    is estimated to cost between 50,000.00 to  90,000.00
    
    Firms intending to submit tenders for this project should obtain

    provider. Addenda when issued will be available from the MERX
    services provider. Firms that elect to base their bid on tender
    (solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at
    their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the bid
    calling authority on their intention to bid. In all cases,
    bidders must indicate (when requested) on the tender form the
    identification number(s) of the addenda, if any, that they have
    taken into consideration for their bid submission.
