Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: EZ899-133560/A - Boiler & Mechanical System Upgrade Mestry, Ruth (PWY) Telephone No. - (604) 775-9385 ( ) Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 Email: ruth.mestry@pwgsc.gc.ca Title: Boiler and Mechanical System Upgrade Location: Mission, B.C., Mission Institution Work Description: Replace existing boilers, pumps, furnaces and domestic hot water heater with new boilers and pumps sized to serve new heating & ventilating units, domestic hot water heat exchangers and storage tanks at the five (5) Living Units. Include modification to existing ducting and piping to suit new equipment. Provide DDC control to new equipment and for Living Unit #2, tie into existing DDC system. Work to be conducted to phases and temporary equipment will be provided such that heating hot water and domestic hot water services to the building will not be interrupted. Heating hot water and domestic hot water supply are essential to the operation of the Living Units and unavoidable interruptions must be scheduled in advance with Departmental Representative and take place outside of operating hours. Site Visit: Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A Site Visit has been scheduled for April 09, 2013 at 10:00 am local time. Contractors are asked to meet at the PWGSC Site Office at Mission Institution, 8751 Stave Lake St., Mission B.C. Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed by 30 November 2013. Value of Project: To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $2,000,000.00 to $2,500,000.00. Firms intending to submit tenders for this project should obtain tender (solicitation) documents through the MERX services provider. Addenda when issued will be available from the MERX services provider. Firms that elect to base their bid on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the bid calling authority on their intention to bid. In all cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) on the tender form the identification number(s) of the addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for their bid submission. This procurement office provides procurement services to the public in English. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
