Title: Stop #1 North Crack Stabilization

Location:   Esquimalt Graving Dock (EGD), 825 Admirals Road,
Victoria, BC

Note to Tenderers:
Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment File(s)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.

Work Description:
Work to be done under this Contract covers the retrofit of a
section of the existing Stop #1 North using reinforcing anchors,
and infilling an existing manhole with concrete.  The site is
located at Stop #1 North at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, 825
Admirals Road, Victoria, BC. 

Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not
limited to the following:
1.) Mobilization & Demobilization
2.) Site Preparation
3.) Environmental Protection Requirements 
4.) Removal and disposal of existing concrete
5.) Removal and replacement of existing granite
6.) Supply and install of double corrosion protected anchors
7.) Supply and install of 25mm diameter galvanized threaded rod
anchors
8.) Water tightness testing
9.) Pre-grouting
10.) Re-drilling grouted holes
11.) Supply and install reinforced concrete
12.) Install benchmarks and survey installed anchor locations
13.) Stockpiling of drill cuttings
14.) Divers
15.) Trelleborg Fender Locator Pin Removal and Reinstatement

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.  
A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at
1:00pm PST.  Interested contractors are to meet at the PWGSC
Project Trailer located at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, at 825
Admirals Road, Victoria, BC, V9A 2P1.    

Interested contractors are required to provide their name(s) and
company name(s) to Ken Ngan (604)658-2755 or
ken.ngan@pwgsc.gc.ca by 3:00pm PST on December 16, 2014 if you
will be attending the site visit.  The front gate commissionaire
will only allow access to the site if prevfious visitor
information is provided and names appear on the visitor list.

Contractors are reminded that the Esquimalt Graving Dock is a
heavy industrial iste and WCB approved hard hats and safety
footwear must be worn for the site visit.

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within seven (7) weeks from Contract Award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost around 
$325,000.00.

from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Firms that elect to base their
bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other
