Tenderers should note that Attachment File(s)contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure. Work Description: Work to be done under this Contract covers the installation of new thermally broken 3 aluminum casement/awning/fixed window designed for low and mid-rise construction at William Head Institution, located at 6000 William Head Road, Victoria, BC. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1.) Provide a detailed work plan including a project schedule and phasing. 2.) Do not startwork until all essential equipment is delivered to the site and the work can proceed without delays. 3.) Provide as-built drawings and closeout submittals. 4.) Work is to start with Room 211 and go anti-clockwise. Please allow 2 days in between eachphase for staff to move in / out of the offices. 5.) Contractor to reinstate the office to original condition. Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work. Site Visit: Contractors are recommended tovisit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site visit is scheduled on Friday, March 17th, 2017at 10:30am local time, in the PWGSC Trailer outside the front gate at William Head Institution, located at 6000 William Head Road, Victoria, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites. Contractors attending the site visit may be required to show one(1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License. All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time. Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within twelve (12) weeks from Contract Award. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender (solicitation)documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid. In all cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) in the space provided on the tender formthe identification number(s)of the addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for their bid.
