    Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) - Electrical Services
    
    Projects will be located in the lower Vancouver Island areas.  This indicates, but is not limited to:
    
    (Area 01) Esquimalt: Dockyard, Naden, Work Point Barracks
    (Area 02) Metchosin: Albert Head, Rocky Point
    (Area 03) Colwood:  Belmont Park
    (Area 04) Saanich:  Heals Range, Patricia Bay, Vanalman

    (Aera 08) Matsqui
    
           
    Work Description:
    Work under this standing offer covers the supply of all labour, materials, tools, equipment, supervision and transportation required for installation and maintenance of various electrical services to be performed by qualified electricians and indentured apprentices as and when requested by Dept. Of National Defence, CFB Esquimalt, Victoria, BC during the period specified.
        
    Period of Standing Offer:  
    The period for placing call-ups against the Standing Offer shall be for a period of (3) years commencing from the start date identified on the Standing Offer.
    
    The Contractor hereby grants to Canada one(1) irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract each for an ADDITIONAL CONSECUTIVE TWELVE (12) MONTH PERIOD, under the same terms and conditions as contained in the Contract. It is to be noted that Canada is not obliged to exercise this one (1)option. The exercise of any option will be at Canada's sole discretion, by providing notification in writing to the Contractor at least thirty (30) days prior to the Contract expiry date or the expiry date of an exercised option period.
    
    It is anticipated that 3 standing offers will be issued. The combined total expenditure is $5,250,000.00 (Applicable taxes included). 50% of the business for the top ranked offeror; 30% for the 2nd ranked offeror and 20% for the 3rd ranked offeror. 
    
    THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT 
    
    The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of Secret issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD);
    
    and 
    
    The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of Reliability status or personnel security screening at the of SECRET, granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC.
    
    
    Site Visit:
    
    Because of the large geographical area and some isolated areas covered, a site visit will not be required.  The Contractor is advised, however, to familiarize himself with the locations of the various sites so that he is aware of the distances involved. No allowance will be made for travel time except for Aldergrove and Matsqui as specified herein.
