Work Description:

Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to:  

1. Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures, existing floor and wall tiles with new; Removal and re-installation of existing hardware accessories to accommodate renovation work; Commissioning an testing of all new plumbing fixtures and accessories for the North Blocks -  Buildings N, VC, PC.

2. Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures, existing floor and wall tiles with new; Removal and re-installation of existing hardware accessories to accommodate renovation work; Commissioning an testing of all new plumbing fixtures and accessories for the South Blocks -  Buildings Q, AC, W-X, CS/S/L.

3. Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures, existing floor and wall tiles with new; Removal and re-installation of existing hardware accessories to accommodate renovation work; Commissioning an testing of all new plumbing fixtures and accessories for the North Blocks -  Buildings HC, R

4. Work shall be completed as phased construction.

5. Remove and dispose of hazardous building materials that will be disturbed during the construction as outlined in Division 2. Hazardous building materials include but are not limited to asbestos, pipe elbows, and plumbing gaskets.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings.  

Site Visit No. 2:

Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on 28 June 2017 @ 10:00 am local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office, 4732 Cemetery Road, Kent Institution, Agassiz, BC.

Note:  All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top computers are allowed into institutions at any time.  All contractors attending the site visit must be able to provide Government issued photo identification at the reception in order to gain visitor access into the institution.
Delivery Date:

The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 48 weeks of award.

Value of Project:

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $625,000.00 and $675,000.00
