    Work Description:
    The Contractor is to be a member in good standing of the Roofing
    Contractors Association of British Columbia. 
    
    The work of this contract covers the replacement of the sloped
    metal roofing at Douglas Border Crossing, including: 
    
    1. 	Removal and disposal of the existing metal roofing,
    associated membranes, plywood and flashings.
    
    2. 	Supply and installation of new treated plywood, roofing
    underlayment, peel and stick transitions and drainage mat.
    
    3.	Supply and installation of new metal panels and associated
    flashings.
    
    4. 	Cleaning and re-finishing of all paralam beams.
    
    5. 	Supply and installation of new metal cap flashing at ends of
    paralam beams to provide water shedding. 
    
    The border is operational 24/7. Disruptive construction noise
    and operations may require work to be executed during low volume
    periods (Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 14:00). 
    
    All construction activity requiring access to the interior of
    the buildings, must be executed Monday through Friday between
    09:00 and 17:00. 
    
    Site Visit:
    There will be a site visit on October 13, 2015 at 10:00am.
    Interested bidders are to meet at the front entrance of the
    Douglas Border Crossing office, located at 220 Highway 99,
    Surrey, BCV3S 9N7.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within eight
    (8) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the
    offer.

    Value of Project: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
    is estimated to cost between 
    $175,000 and $200,000.
