Mandatory Site Visit: Bidders attendance at site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative(s) of the Bidder will be required to sign the attendance sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not attended and signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on August 10, 2017 09:00 am Mountain Standard Time. This site is located at Km 537.9 on the Alaska Highway, which is approximately 80 km west of Fort Nelson. Entrance to the Maintenance Camp is on the south side of the Alaska Highway at a viewpoint pull out. Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Bidders should arrive at the Bidder’s Meeting with PPE (i.e. hard hat, safety boots, reflective vest). Bidders should be aware of half-hour to one hour traffic delays due to highway construction north of Fort St. John. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority, Patty Yi at patty.yi@pwgsc.gc.ca or (778) 919-2578 no later than 24 hours prior to the site visit to confirm attendance. Bidders should provide, in writing, to the Contracting Authority, the names of the person(s) who will be attending. Any clarifications or changes to the solicitation documents resulting from the mandatory site visit will be included as an amendment/addendum to the solicitation documents. Submissions provided by Bidders who did not attend the mandatory site visit and did not sign the attendance forms will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered further in the bidding process. Completion Date: Work to be initiated: within 5 Working Days of Contract Award. Pre-Mobilization Submittals: within 10 Working Days of Contract Award. Mobilization: within 10 Working Days of Contract Award. Site Works: Final Completion no later than 2017Oct01. Offsite Treatment and Disposal Works: Final Completion no later than 2017Dec01. Completion of the Work: no later than 2018March31.
