Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following items covered further in the Contract documents. - Hazardous Materials abatement - Selective Demolition - New interior construction - Building additions Sustainable Requirements: - Use only environmentally responsible materials/products with no VOC emissions or minimum VOC emissions of indoor off-gassing contaminants for improved indoor air quality - subject of Departmental Representative’s approved of submitted MSDS Product Data - Use materials/products containing highest percentage of recycled and recovered materials practicable - consistent with maintaining cost effective satisfactory levels of competition - Adhere to waste reduction requirement for reuse or recycling of waste materials, thus diverting materials from landfill. Optional Site visit: The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on December 13, 2017 at 10:30am PST at the Penticton Airport, Penticton, BC. Interested Bidders are to meet at the Penticton Airport lobby, located at 3000 Airport Rd, Penticton, BC. Bidders are to wear a safety vest during the site visit. Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Interested bidders are requested to provide their name(s) and company name(s) to the Contracting Authority, Patty Yi (778) 919-2578 or patty.yi@pwgsc.gc.ca by 1430 PDST on December 8, 2017, if you will be attending the site visit. Completion Date: Commence work ready for use within twenty (20) months after Contract award. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
