Airport Terminal Building (ATB) Hold Room Addition and Renovation

Location:

the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of

Work Description:

The intent of this project is to expand the departing passenger
hold room.

The following is a list of major work items required for the
project.
a. Construction of a new hold room, over multiple phases, while
continuously
providing the hold room Operational functions.
b. Safely removing and disposing of hazardous materials in the
area of work.
c. Demolition and removal of the existing trailer hold rooms.
d. Construction of new building structure (over phases),
including concrete
foundation, steel framing, and wood framing.
e. Construction of new building envelope (over phases) for the
hold room,
including floors, walls, glazing, and roofing, and tying of new
envelope into
existing.
f. Construction of new building finishes (over phases) for the
hold room, including
floors, walls and roofing, and tying of new finishes into
existing.
g. Construction of new building mechanical (over phases) for the
hold room,
including plumbing and HVAC, and tying of new mechanical into
existing.
h. Construction of new building electrical systems (over phases)
for the hold room,
including power, lighting, security, comms, and PA, CCTV, Fire
Alarm and
tying of new systems into existing.
i. Modifications to adjacent and remote areas in the ATB as
required to facilitate
the new hold room.
j. Modifications and reinstatement of the adjacent site areas
affected by the work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. 

A site visit will be held on the following date and time: 

Date: July 15, 2015 
Time: 10:15 a.m PDT
Location:   Contractors are to meet at the Penticton Airport
located in Penticton, BC. Bidders are to meet at lobby area of
the airport. Pay parking is available. 

Instructions: Interested bidders are required to provide their
name(s) and company names to Tian Lam at
tian.lam@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca no later than 24 hours prior to the
site visit. 

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within
twenty-six [26] weeks from the date of notification of
acceptance of the offer.

Value of Project: 
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost around 
$850,000 to $1,275,000.
