    Work Description:
    
    This project involves the replacement of certain electrical equipment at Bella Coola Small
    Craft Harbour in Bella Coola, BC. The electrical equipment to be replaced is located on a
    wharf and adjacent floating docks. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the
    following items:
    
    A) Lump Sum Items:
    
    a) Mobilization and demobilization.
    .1 Move all crew, equipment and materials on and off site.
    .2 Move all equipment and materials, including Owner Supplied    equipment and materials, around the site as required to complete the    work.
    .3 Complete an inventory check of Owner Supplied equipment and    materials at Steveston Small Craft Harbour (12740 Trites Road,    Richmond, BC V7E 3R8). The Contractor shall verify all specified    Owner Supplied equipment and materials are in good condition
    (not damaged) and available for delivery.
    .4 Take possession of Owner supplied equipment and materials and    deliver them to site (100 Mackenzie Hwy 20, Bella Coola, BC V0T 1C0).    Once in possession, the Contractor will be responsible for safe-   guarding the equipment and materials from damage and theft.
    .5 Include all crew expenses such as food and accommodations.
    .6 Site clean-up daily throughout construction.
    .7 Include all overhead costs not included in other items.
    
    b) Demolition of existing infrastructure:
    .1 Removal and disposal of seven (7) existing power transformer cabinets complete with distribution panels.
    .2 Removal and disposal of twenty-one (21) existing shore power receptacle cabinets.
    .3 Removal and disposal of twenty-one (21) existing luminaires on floats and one (1) luminaire on wharf.
    .4 Removal and disposal of existing cabling.
    .5 Removal and disposal of the following electrical equipment located in the existing current electrical building.
       .1 Main Distribution Centre:
       .2 75kVA Transformer (347/600V:120/208V).
       .3 Power Factor Correction Unit.
       .4 Unnamed 60A breaker panel.
       .5 Panel ‘G’.
    
    c) Coordinate the removal and disconnect of existing underground service with BC Hydro.
    
    d) Coordinate supply of new overhead service connection with BC Hydro.
    
    e) Supply and installation of the following equipment located within an outdoor rated kiosk :
       .1 Main Distribution Centre
       .2 75kVA Transformer (347/600V:120/208V)
       .3 225A, 120/208V, distribution panel
    
    f) Supply and installation of outdoor rated 300kVAR Power Factor Correction Unit.
    
    g) Supply and installation of concrete foundations for Main Distribution Centre and Power Factor Correction Unit.
    
    h) Supply and installation of cable tray.
    
    i) Supply and installation of underground conduit and conductors.
    
    j) Installation of on-float cables.
    
    k) Reconnection of existing services and equipment to new distribution equipment.
    
    l) Provision of testing and commissioning services for the electrical services and systems provided under this Contract.
    
    m) Provision of all permits, licenses and fees required by the authorities having jurisdiction. All work shall be performed by qualified personnel.
    
    B) Unit Price Items:
    
    a) Installation of three (3) float luminaire poles complete with LED luminaires. Equipment supplied by Owner.
    
    b) Installation of nineteen (19) new float LED luminaires on existing luminaire poles as indicated. Equipment supplied by Owner.
    
    c) Installation of one (1) wharf luminaire located on an existing utility pole. Equipment supplied by Owner.
    
    d) Installation of sixteen (16) new receptacle cabinets, each containing a distribution panel, shore power receptacle bank, and luminaire. Equipment supplied by Owner.
    
    e) Installation of five (5) new electrical kiosks, each containing a transformer, distribution panel, shore power receptacle bank, and luminaire. Equipment supplied by Owner.
    
    Site Visit:
    Bidders may visit the site in order to become acquainted with the site and to make the necessary inquiries or investigations prior to submitting a bid for this work. 
    
    As there will be no scheduled site visit, bidders are to visit the site at their own convenience.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than January 15, 2020.
    
    Estimated Value: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $100,001.00 and $500,000.00. (GST included).
