Title:  
Geometric Improvements

Location: 
KM 207 Alaska Highway, between Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, BC

Work Description: 
The project includes improvements to the Alaska Highway from Km
207+060 to 207+680. Work of this Contract comprises of:

1)	Stripping of topsoil material, transportation, and disposal
to a designated site approved by the Departmental Representative.
2)	Restoration of disturbed areas following construction.
3)	Excavation, transportation and disposal of material
associated with roadway drainage and earthworks to a designated
site approved by the Departmental Representative
4)	Excavate, manufacture, transport, place and compact crushed
base gravel, sub-base gravels, and selection sub-grade gravels
for roadway construction.
5)	Remove and dispose of existing drainage portions of culverts
and reinstate drainage channels where required.
6)	Supply and install drainage infrastructure including
galvanized CSP culverts and culvert inlet/outlet protection.
7)	Remove, temporarily stockpile, and re-use the existing
traffic signage and posts
8)	Restoration of disturbed areas to pre-construction conditions
ready for hydroseeding by others.
9)	Construction layout surveys, quantity surveys, and as-built
surveys.
10)	 Traffic Management including maintaining save and efficient
public traffic flow through the limits of the work via traffic
control, signage, and detours for the duration of the works.

Site Visit: 
There will be NO SCHEDULED SITE VISIT.  However, Contractors are
strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a
tender for this work and to make enquiries or investigations
necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well
as the nature and extent of the work.

Delivery Date: 
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority. The
Contractor must achieve Substantial Performance by November 27,
2015 and achieve Completion by December 4, 2015.

Value of Project: 
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between 
$675,000 to $725,000.
