Work Description: 
The project includes all labour, materials and equipment required to complete the removal and replacement and associated components of the roof on the Victoria Coast Guard Base Administration building located at 25 Heron Street in Victoria, BC. The Contractor mustbe certified from the Roofing Contractor Association of British Columbia (RCABC).

The premises is occupied by the Canadian Coast Guard and Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada employees. Any required access is to be coordinated through DFO’s representative. The Contractor shall be responsible for notifying the occupants in writing prior to the commencement of work (minimum 48 hours’ notice). Work shall be performed between 8:00 to 16:00 hours, Monday to Friday inclusive.

Site Visit: 
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

There is an optional site visit for prospective bidders on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:00 am PST at the Victoria Coast Guard Base Administration building located at 25 Heron Street in Victoria, BC.

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor must provide delivery of all new roofing material and remove existing roof ballast by April 15, 2016.  The Contractor shall provide and complete the Work within one hundred and twenty (120) days of Contract award.

Value of Project: 
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between 
$825,000 to $875,000.
