    This procurement is subject to the Maa-nulth First Nations Final Agreement.
    
    Work Description: Work under this Contract covers demolition of the 8-Plex Staff Housing Residences at 1951 Cynamocka Road and the carport at 1937 Cynamocka Road in Ucluelet, B.C.
    
    Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items covered further in the Contract:
    
    - Work includes the demolition of the structure including, but not limited to, full concrete piles, footings and foundations; doors and windows; cladding, framing and sheathing; electrical and mechanical systems; finishes and fixtures.
    - Eleven (11) specific trees to be removed from site, to facilitate demolition.
    - The hazardous materials assessment of the 8-plex property is reported in the appended “Hazardous Building Materials Assessments, Pacific Rim National Park - 39 Buildings of the Pacific Rim National Park, BC, Appendix C:Findings and Recommendations - 8-plex”. This assessment reported Chrysotile asbestos in the flooring materials and in lighting heat shields of the 8-plex, and lead-based paint in some doors.  Before removing any other materials, remove these hazardous materials as described in Section 026133 and as directed by the Departmental Representative.
    - The hazardous materials assessment of the carport is reported in the appended document “Hazardous Building Materials Assessments, Pacific Rim National Park - 39 Buildings of the Pacific Rim National Park, BC, Appendix B: Findings and Recommendations - 4-plex”. There were no hazardous materials assessment reported in the “Parking Garage” (page B.2 of the report).
    - Remove the remainder of the materials as described in Section 024116, and as directed by the Departmental Representative.
    - Adhere to waste reduction requirement for reuse or recycling of waste materials, thus diverting materials from landfill.
    
    Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings.  
    
    Delivery Date:
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work no later than 6 weeks from the contract award date.
    
    Value of Project:
    
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $200,000.00 and $300,000.00
