In order to be considered, a supplier must certify that it qualifies as an Aboriginal business as defined under PSAB and that it will comply with all requirements of PSAB. Contractor to provide specialized material handling, health and safety, and environmental protection procedures, and must have knowledge of appropriate regulations. Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items, including all ancillary Work, covered further in the Contract: *Excavation of contaminated soil as per Drawings. *Transportation of contaminated soil to facilities. *Disposal of contaminated soil. All material identified as contaminated on the site must be disposed of at a disposal facility, including material that has been treated. *Contaminated soil placement in onsite cells and transfer facility. *Construction of a new onsite cell on property under the control of PSPC. Work at site involves work with contaminated material. Complete list of anticipated contaminants and concentration levels on the site available separately in Appendices and/or Drawings. Site access restrictions are as follows: Site is accessed from Bridge Road under the Lions Gate Bridge. Use of the roadways on the Squamish Nation lands are the responsibility of the Contactor to secure use. In 2018-19 the Squamish Nation policy was that Lower Capilano was not to be used by PEC site contractors. The North Shore Conveyance Project (NSCP) will be occurring at the Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plant during the entire duration of this project. Coordination with the NSCP contractor is the responsibility of the Site Contractor. Neighbouring or sensitive site restrictions are as follows: Metro Vancouver Right of Way on site. District of North Vancouver (DNV) Right of Way (ROW) on site. The water line within the DNV ROW was recently cut and capped along the eastern edge of the Metro Vancouver ROW. To mitigate potential damage to the water main pipes, heavy equipment movement is limited across the ROWs, parking or storage of materials over top of the ROWs is prohibited, and excavations anywhere within or across the ROWs are prohibited. The Contractor shall also maintain 24 hour access to the Metro Vancouver ROW. The Contractor is to ascertain and abide by all DNV and Metro Vancouver requirements for work in and around the ROWs. This project shall not include any excavation within the Metro Vancouver or DNV right of ways. Site Visit: There will be an optional site visit on October 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the site office shown on the Drawings. There is no civic street address for the site. In order to be guaranteed access to the site all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (footwear, vests and hard hats). Contractor’s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire will be denied access to the site. Completion Date: The Contractor shall perform and complete all Site Works no later than January 15, 2020. Completion of all final submittals no later than February 29, 2020.
