    Work Description:
    Public Services and Procurement Canada, Environmental Services, has a requirement for Prophet River Remediation along Km 17 of the Old Alaska Highway, BC.
    
    Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following items, including all ancillary Work:
    
    1- Site access restrictions are as follows:  No work to be conducted within the limits of approach of the Canadian National Resources Limited (CNRL) gas line that runs through the property prior to obtaining required permits with CNRL.
    2- Classes of Soil based on Environmental Quality Criteria are:
    Overburden
    Waste Quality
    3- Soil classification based on insitu testing; exsitu testing may be required as directed by the Departmental Representative. 
    4- Treatment of Contaminated Water, either onsite or offsite at Contractor’s discretion. Contractor responsible for discharge permits.
    5- Excavation of Contaminated Soil.  Contractor solely responsible for excavating to Contaminated Material Limits as shown.
    6- Transportation of Contaminated Soil to facilities.
    7- Disposal of Contaminated Soil.  All material identified as Contaminated on the Site must be disposed of at a Disposal Facility, including material that has been Treated.
    8- In-situ treatment of Contaminated Soil. Contractor solely responsible for In-situ Treatment.
    
    Mandatory Requirements:
    This requirement includes mandatory criteria related to Superintendent/Field Coordinator’s Experience, Project Manager’s Experience and Machine Operators’ Experience. 
    
    Optional Site Visit: 
    1.There will be an optional site visit scheduled for Thursday October 10, 2019 local time at 11:00am in Prophet River. The site is 17km along the Old Alaska Highway. The entrance to site is ~90km south of Fort Nelson and ~290km northwest of Fort St John.
    
    Directions from Fort St John
    -Head north from Fort St John on Highway 97 (Alaska Highway) for 290 km to the community of Prophet River
    -Meet at pullout located at km marker 278.72 (Historical Mile Post 234) (Lat/Long Coordinates: 58.103968 -122.714530). 
    -If you pass a bridge (Adsett Creek) or begins to drive uphill (heading north) then you have driven too far north.
    
    Interested bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
    
    Please note that cell service is in range along sections of Alaska Highway but is very spotty along Old Alaska Highway. 
    
    2. Safety Attire: Bidders should wear personal protective equipment (such as: hardhat, high visibility vest, work boots) to the site visit. Contractor’s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
    
    Delivery Date:
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by February 28, 2020. Site works are to be completed by January 31, 2020.
    
    Value of Project:
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.
