Location: CFB Comox in Lazo, BC to include satellite locations in the valley, as well as CFB Holdberg

Important Notice:

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours:  Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time).  

Work Description:

Work under this standing offer will include the supply of all labour, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to carry out general construction work, repairs, alterations, and additions on an as and when requested basis by Department of National Defence, 19 Wing Comox, in Lazo, BC (as well as other locations within a 50 km radius and CFB Holdberg) during the specified period.

Period of Standing Offer:

It is PWGSC's intention to authorize up to two (2) Standing Offers, each for a period of three (3) years commencing from the date of the Standing Offer.

PWGSC will also hold a two (2) irrevocable options to extend the Standing Offer by up to two (2) additional consecutive twelve (12) month periods under the same conditions. It is to be noted that Canada is not obliged to exercise any of these two (2) options. The exercise of any option will be at Canada's sole discretion, by providing notification in writing to the Contractor at least sixty (30) days prior to the Contract expiry date or the expiry date of an exercised option period.

Estimated Value:

The total dollar value of all Standing Offers, for the three (3) year period, is estimated to be $3,000,000.00 (GST extra). Offerors should note that there is no guarantee that the full or any amount of the Standing Offers will be called-up; call-ups will only be issued when the specific services to be provided under the Standing Offer are needed.

THIS STANDING OFFER CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT:

The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC).

The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to sensitive site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of SECRET, granted or approved by the CSP, PWGSC.

Site Visit:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no site visit.
