    Work Description: 
    The Work comprises of the remediation of contaminated material by excavation and placement in offsite PSPC owned Soil Treatment facility and/or offsite disposal. The work includes, but is not limited to:
    -Health and Safety and environmental protection at site
    -Prepare site for work including clearing site as required and provision of onsite temporary office
    -Plan excavation including geotechnical design as required
    -Design and operate Contaminated Water Treatment Plant
    -Design and install temporary shoring support as required to allow excavation
    -Remove and replace existing infrastructure
    -Excavate non-contaminated material 
    -Excavate contaminated material
    -Backfill excavations with clean imported or client supplied fill material
    -Load and transport contaminated material and non-contaminated material to a Treatment Facility as applicable and a Disposal Facility for final disposal
    
    
    OPTIONAL Site Visit:
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Fireside Maintenance Camp Remediation, KM 839, Alaska Highway, BC on 05 July 2018. The site visit will begin at 14:00 PDT, in Fireside Maintenance Camp Entrance.
    
    Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.).
    
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Site Work at Maintenance Yard no later than Nov 15, 2018.  
    
    
    Value of Project: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $1,700,000.00 to $1,900,000.00.
