    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
    
    Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.

    Work Covered by Contract
    1. Crushing, hauling and stockpiling 16.0mm B.S.T. aggregates and 12.5m sanding aggregates at pit locations Km 554, 678, 792.9, 772.9. 
    1.1 Fort Nelson is located at km 455, on the Alaska Highway, BC.  Line Diagram 01 shows the pit location and quantities
    1.2 No separate payment for hauling aggregates to stockpile.
    2. Hauling12.5mm aggregate from Km 366 Adsett to Km 254 Sikanni Maintenance Camp Second level. 
    3. Hauling 12.5mm aggregate from Km 36 Adsett to Km 445.3 Fort Nelson Pit.
    4. Hauling 12.5mm aggregate from Km 880 Allen’s Lookout Pit to Km 762.5 Liard Maintenance Camp.
    5. Hauling 12.5mm aggregate from Km 900 Devitts Folley Pit to Km 839 Fireside Maintenance Camp.
    6. Hauling 12.5mm aggregate from Km 509 Kledo Pit to Km 537.9 Steamboat Maintenance Camp.
    All crushed aggregate 16.0mm piles and sanding aggregate 12.5mm piles to be stock piled using stacking conveyer. 
    Supply crawler tractor complete with ripper and 260-359 FWHP for pit clean-up after completion of crushing aggregates. 
    Aggregate Source  
    .1  Gravel Pits at km’s 366, 509, 554, 678, 772.9, 792.9, 880, 900 and  are available to contractor for work under this contract.  .2  Prior to using pit run material, utilize old crush piles as directed by engineer. .3  Work aggregate source to minimize material waste. Use screening apparatus to remove deleterious materials.  .4  Pits will require clearing, grubbing, and stripping prior to starting production. .5  Stockpile material in locations as directed by Departmental Representative. .6  Remove and pile deleterious materials to prevent contamination of end product as directed by Departmental Representative.
    
    Due to the remoteness and the location of the PSPC operated section of the Alaska Highway which passes through the traditional territories of the First Nations belonging to the Treaty 8 Tribal Association (primarily the southern section of the Highway) as well as the traditional territories of the First Nations belonging to the Daylu Dena Council (primarily the northern section of the Highway), bidders are encouraged to employ the available local workforce and utilize other locally available resources and equipment.

    All work under this contract must be completed by March 31, 2022.
    
    Value of Project:
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.
