Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday to Friday, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time). 

Suppliers are recommended to submit bids electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject bid solicitation. Work Description:
Work of this Contract comprises of the construction of reinforced concrete foundations, minor site clearing and grubbing, and installation of a self-supported tower on a undeveloped remote Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) communication site on Discovery Mountain which is an undeveloped site located approximately 30km north of Campbell River, BC. Site coordinates are approximately 50° 19' 24.50" N, 125° 22' 20.473" W.

Work to be done under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items covered further in the Contract documents:

.1 Design, supply, and installation of a new 30.0m self-supported tower with work platform and associated concrete foundations;
.2 Design, supply, and installation of antenna mounts;
.3 Design and supply of waveguide bridge and associated concrete foundations;
.4 Excavation and movement of earth;
.5 Supply and installation of a grounding system; and
.6 Supply and installation of concrete foundations for CCG site infrastructure.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.

Mandatory Bidders Conference:
There will be a MANDATORY bidders teleconference scheduled on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 10:30am PDT. 

You may attend either by phone (audio) or by computer (audio and/or video), though we recommend you take advantage of the video as we will present visuals.

The details for logging in to this teleconference meeting will be made available to all bidders who express an interest in attending by contacting the Contracting Authority before 3:00 pm PDT on July 13, 2021. Bidders not attending the above referenced Mandatory Bidders Teleconference will NOT be given an alternative appointment and they will be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders conference will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 31, 2022.

Value of Project: 
To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $500,001 to $1,000,000.
