    Work included in this Contract includes the removal and replacement of timber palisades with a new structure at the Fort Battleford National Historic Site located in Battleford, Saskatchewan. In general, work shall consist of the following:
    
    .1 Demolition of the existing timber palisade stockade and bastions at Fort Battleford National Historic Site. Amount of stockade demolition will be determined based on price.
    
    .2 Construction of new a new timber stockade fence and gates as illustrated in the drawings and specifications. 
    
    Optional Site Visit: It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Fort Battleford National Historic Site, Battleford Saskatchewan on February 25, 2016. The site visit will begin at 10:00 h. CST, in the Visitor Centre.
    
    Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet and provide photo identification. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    Firms intending to submit bids on thisproject should obtain bid documents through the Government Electronic Tendering (GETS) service provider at http://Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders .  Firms that obtain bid documents from a source other than the official site run the risk of not receiving a complete package.
    
    Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, from the Government of Canada web site, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid. 
    
    This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
