Work of this Contract comprises the renovation of 9 gun ports and 2 security cages within a high security unit of an existing prison as more fully described in the drawings and specifications for the project located at Stony Mountain Institution, MB.

Work is estimated to be completed within 13 weeks after contract award. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, the estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $100,000 to $500,000.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit on 31 May 2019 at 0930 (CDT). Interested bidders are to meet and sign in at the C17 Construction Security Escort Office. Photo identification may be requested by Correctional Services Canada. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made.

LISTING OF SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS: Take note that R2710T, GI07 “Listing of Subcontractors and Suppliers” has been amended. See SI10 of the Special Instructions. Failure to do so will result in the disqualification of its bid.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.
