    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Winnipeg will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 am to 11 am and Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm (local time).
    
    Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.

    This procurement has been set aside under the federal government's Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB). In order to be considered, a supplier must certify that it qualifies as an Aboriginal business as defined under PSAB and that it will comply with all requirements of PSAB.
    
    The work site described in this specification is located at George Island, Manitoba. George Island is located on Lake Winnipeg, approximately 35 km Southwest of Poplar River and approximately 330 km North of Winnipeg, Manitoba. See Drawing C-1 for location. There is no road access to George Island, George Island is accessible by boat during open water season, or by the construction of a winter road.
    
    The work under this contract covers:
    
    .1 The demolition and removal of the existing timber wharves to lines and grades designated on drawings.
    .2 The supply and installation of a new timber wharf as shown on drawings.
    .3 The harbour improvements as shown on the drawings.
    
    The work to be done by the Contractor under this Contract shall include the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, insurance, and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of all work as specified herein. All work to be done in accordance with the details shown on the accompanying plans and as specified herein.
    
    Work is estimated to be completed within 46 weeks after contract award. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, the estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $500,000 to $1,000,000.
    
    LISTING OF SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS: Take note that R2710T, GI07 "Listing of Subcontractors and Suppliers" has been amended. See SI10 of the Special Instructions. Failure to do so will result in the disqualification of its bid.
    
    Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.
