    TITLE
    
    DUAL PORT MANUAL ZOOM COLLIMATOR IN THE MID-WAVE INFRARED
    
    REQUIREMENT
    
    Provide and deliver to DRDC one (1) Dual port manual zoom optical collimator in the mid-wave infrared that will be used with the Mirage XL infrared scene projection system from Santa Barbara Infrared. The Mirage XL has a square format and the length of each side is 49mm. The collimator must have two optical entry ports, with the same specifications. There shall be a place to insert an optical beam splitter to combine the two beams. There must be a variable field of view, with adjustments from 2 to 8 degrees. Adjustments can be continuous or by steps. If the adjustment is done by steps, there are to be at 2, 4, 6 and 8 degrees as a minimum. 
    
    SPECIFICATIONS
    
    • Spectrum range: 3.5 to 5 µm.
    • Second optical port entry.
    • Allow the possibility to insert an optical beam splitter.
    • Pupil diameter of unit under test: 95 mm ±5%.
    • Stand-off distance 1.25 m ±5%.
    • Narrow field of view, measured at field diagonal, 2 degrees ±2%.
    • Wide field of view, measured at field diagonal, 8 degrees ±2%.
    • Distortion below 2% across field for whole range of FOV.
    • Transmission average, above 85% over whole FOV and spectral range.
    • Manual FOV adjustment throughout the FOV range or fixed steps at (2, 4, 6 and 8 degrees as a minimum).
    • Must be mechanically compatible with Santa Barbara Infrared’s Mirage XL projection array.
    
    DELIVERABLES
    
    • Characterization report of the collimator, which will include a comprehensive set of data for specifications listed above.
    • Final delivery of the Dual port manual zoom optical collimator at DRDC- Valcartier Research Center.
    
    
    DELIVERY DATES
    
    • Characterization report of the collimator: On or before nine (9) months after contract award. 
    
    • Final delivery: On or before twelve (12) months after contract award.
    
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS
    
    1. Bidders must provide prices DDP DRDC - Valcartier (Incoterms 2000). Bids will be assessed on a DDP (Incoterms 2000) basis.
    
    2. In accordance with the Integrity Provisions and the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy, the following must be provided as part of the solicitation process. 
    i. Bidders, offerors or suppliers that are corporate entities, including those bidding as joint ventures, must provide a complete list of names of all current directors or, for a privately owned corporation, the names of the owners of the corporation. 
    ii. Bidders, offerors or suppliers bidding as sole proprietors, including sole proprietors bidding as joint ventures, must provide a complete list of the names of all owners. 
    iii. Bidders, offerors or suppliers that are a partnership do not need to provide a list of names.
