    SECURITY REQUIREMENT
    This request contains a security requirement.
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION
    The work included in this project include the reroofing of
    sector 1 to 4, including postern, at the federal penitentiary in
    Port-Cartier, QC.
    
    The work involves the demolition of the existing roof and
    reconstruction of these elements as specified in the contract
    documents. The work includes the disposal of materials produced
    by the demolition and reroofing operations.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    An optional site visit will take place at 08:00 AM on June 5,
    2012, at the Establishment Port-Cartier, QC.
    
    MANDATORY CRITERIA
    The Bidder shall enclose bid security with its bid;
    A certificate issued by bituminous elastomer membrane
    manufacturer, certifying that the roofing contractor possesses
    the required experience and competency to perform the
    waterproofing and sealing work;
    Foremen will possess minimum experience of five (5) years as
    foreman in the roofing business;
    At least one member of the work group will possess minimum
    experience of five (5) years in the roofing business;
    Workers applying weldable membranes will have followed the Fire
    Safety course given by the Quebec Institute of Fire Protection,
    and at least 50% of those people will have also completed the «
    Safe Welding » course of the AMCQ.
    
    The contractor shall, prior to contract award, within
    forty-eight (48) hours following the written request by Canada,
    provide documents, certificates or others, or demonstrate that
    the requirements are met, whatever the case may be, for the
    following criterias :
    
    PERIOD OF WORK
    The work shall begin on July 5, 2012 and is to be completed by
    October 15 2012.
    
    BUDGET
    The budget, for this project, is between 1 000 001 $ and 5 000
    000 $
