    TITLE
    BUILDING AND STRUCTURE DEMOLITION WORK
    Red island, Tadoussac, Quebec

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project essentially consists of the deconstruction of buildings and structures. These will take place on the Red Island, and will target all the buildings (9) still present, with the exception of the lighthouse and the meteorological station. The Island is located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River at the entrance of the Saguenay Fjord, offshore, east of the village of Tadoussac. These buildings are plagued by the presence of mold, lead and asbestos. Various work is to be done at the lighthouse, including roofing and lightning rod repairs. The project also includes the disposal of all debris and hazardous materials in order to reduce the physical and environmental risks present on the site. It should be noted that no demolition of the concrete foundation is included in the present scope of work, but it must be secured with backfill for the lightkeeper's house, the assistant's house and the south shack (toilet). The site, accessible by air or water, is uninhabited and isolated. This site is in the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park and is subject to its regulations.
