Description: To provide as needed, either directly or through subcontractor or associates, all necessary Technical Investigation and Engineering Support to carry out the tasks in section 2 of the Technical Statement of Requirement. (i) The Areas of Expertise required for the above - Technical Investigation and Engineering Support - Hazardous materials management - Occupational Health and Safety - Air quality assessment - Water quality assessment - Paint inspection - Welding inspection (ii) The Occupations required to perform the above are: - Engineer - Industrial hygienist - CSA W178.2 Welding Inspector Level 3 - NACE certified coating Inspector - Level 3 - Field technicians - Draftsman - Office Clerk (iii) The Home Port covered by this invitation to tender are: - Greater Toronto - Quebec, QC - Sorel, QC - Mont-Joli, QC - Prescott, ON - Parry Sound, ON - Sarnia, ON (iv) The standing offer will be valid for a period of one (1) year from 2020-09-07 to 2021-09-06, including a provision for an optional two (2) year period of services of one (1) year each, from 2021-09-07 to 2022-09-06 and 2022-09-07 to 2023-09-06. VESSELS’ VIEWING: No site visit of the vessels is scheduled. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Québec Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority. Suppliers are required to submit bids electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject bid solicitation. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level. Faxed and hard copy (submitted in person or via mail/courier) bids will not be accepted for the subject bid solicitation.
